Mailbox at YYZ ?

While changing planes at YYZ T1 next week (SYR-YYZ-DUB) I'd like to mail some letters to people in Toronto. I have NEXUS so going through Canadian immigration into the landside terminal shouldn't be a problem.

There's reputedly a mailbox near aisle H and the newsstands sell stamps. Can anyone say whether the mailbox actually exists, and the landside newsstands really have stamps? Tnx.

I can't tell you about T1 but there is one at T3 (arrivals level, near some stairs or elevators mid-terminal).

Canada Post @ T1

There are (at least) two Canada Post boxes on the departures level of T1. Look for them near the landside entry doors (you won't miss the familiar red colour!).

Paying for postage may be more of a problem. I would suggest you check the luggage travel store (which is also for bag storage) just before the security gates. Better yet, travel with some stamps! (Works for me).

I have plenty of stamps, but my US stamps are unlikely to impress Canada Post.

You could try your local US Postal Office to see if they carry Canadian stamps. I did purchase US stamps from a Canada Post Office years back.

Hi from YYZ. There is indeed a mailbox in T1 across from aisle F, near the entry to US customs. I found stamps at the Macleans newsstand on the arrivals level. She charged me $2.25 for two stamps which seems a bit high, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers.

FYI, US post offices only sell official US post office stuff. Most Canadian post offices are contract stations in regular stores who can sell whatever they want.

.
Standard rate these days. $1 for domestic mail + 13% HST.

The USPS website sells stamps from Canada and the UK.
