Toronto-Pearson

Hey,
I haven't flown out of Pearson for probably about a year and a half. I am heading to Amsterdam with KLM, the flight departs at 6:30pm on Thursday. How early should I be there prior to flight?
Also, what is the name of the parking with the monorail that brings you to the airport?

KLM is in Terminal 3 at Pearson. Airlines always suggest checking in for international flights 3 hours prior to departure. However, you can (with some airlines) check in 24 hours before your departure online. Then just check-in at the kiosks to get your baggage tag. The parking by the monorails is Viscount Parking - they have a lot as well as a garage (covered - or most of it). And getting from the parking to the terminal is via the Link train. If you don't have an assigned seat, best go when the counter check in opens (they must be open 3 hours prior to each flight) - else, you can probably check in 2 hours before - but evenings ar busy at Pearson and you don't want to get stuck in a security line up. Just my thoughts - hope they are helpful

The parking is GTAA parking because it is owned by the GTAA. Go to the GTAA website, and the link to parking will show you prices and a map and so forth.

There is po' folks outside parking and rich folks garage parking.

You should check a recent thread on this forum about some of the GTAA spaces being closed off. The GTAA web site gives you an option to reserve a space for a small fee, if there are spaces. It's good to check. A reasonable alternative is Park N Fly's self-park lot on Skyway and Dixon, using a coupon from their disguised web site http://paylessairportparking.ca/.
