Honestly, I'd even consider flying through YYC if it meant the LO 787 to WAW. Sub-par food and all. But there's probably a good explanation for it because I don't really think there's a big Polish diaspora in AB. Not like in YYZ or ORD.

It's a UK military charter flight to RAF Brize Norton. LOT Flight 7695

I think econ tray food isn't going to be great on any airline. C should be nice though, especially if they also carry this Rioha which was one of the better wines I have had up in the air. I've only had the econ wine on intra-European flights and it wasn't very good (especially considering I had to pay for it).
As for YEG, I almost took that connection during the late 90s.
I was actually surprised as I never heard much about Edmonton (apart from the hockey team) until I noticed it on LOT's route map.

Sub-par is purely my opinion, but I found their TATL food to be okay at best (Y, PY, and J), certainly not up to par with what I know Polish food can be. Unless I just happened to hit a bunch of very average catering days. But it's not a deal-breaker by any means.

I also saw this aircraft, and looked it up, to find out it was on its way to Brize Norton! It's odd that UK military would charter a LOT aircraft, but nice for the military guys that travel in it themselves!
