4 hr layover in YVR

I have a 4 hr layover in Vancouver, 10p-2a. What should I do, what's fun? I have no lounge access, but willing to pay for lounge access if possible.I have Admirals Club access, but that's probably useless.

from 10PM-2AM (2200-0200)? Does the Skytrain run 24 hours? If so, I'll try and hit a bar.

According to Vancouver TransLink, the last incoming SkyTrain from the airport departs at 12:54am, and the last outgoing SkyTrain to the airport departs at 1:06am, so that should work out well for you.

Depends what day you're coming, but the Richmond Night Market starts on the 16th. I hear it's something different? Or at least we're going to check it out.

Plus it's a lot faster than getting into town.

Night market runs friday to sunday (earlier close on sunday). If the dates work for you, I'd definitely recommend this vs going downtown. It is only 3 stops away on the airport train vs the 10+ stops going downtown.

Lots of interesting food and shopping.

Vancouver 4 hours - - late - -

If you have only 4 hours between flights - you will be a bit tight - but if you go straight to the skytrain - go into downtown and stop at the Pourhouse on Water street. Sit at the bar - the bar snacks are great and this is a classic cocktail house. They will be friendly. There are some other options.

If you want some more info - i.e. - which day of the week will it be - send me a private message and I can give you come contacts and ideas. There will be little happening after midnight as most places will not have a license to serve alcohol beyond that time.

Fairmont

If you don't have the time to head downtown or Richmond night market, walk over to the Fairmont hotel which is in the airport. Good food and a nice bar. And you just walk back to security/gates.

For a four hour layover this is by far the best option. Otherwise, you'll spend more time looking at your watch than enjoying yourself.

Note that the Jetside Bar at The Fairmont closes at midnight.

Night Market: I don't think I would be able to do that since my layover is on Wed night, the 28th.
Downtown Pourhouse: This will be one of my possibilities, but with a 4 hour layover, may seem a bit rushed. How long does the the Skytrain take to get to dt and back? How long would security take for a night flight?
Fairmont Hotel: Most likely option.

Kind of leaning toward DT. If my flight arrives early, definitely will try out downtown. I've always wanted to try a Tim Horton's too.

The Canada Line SkyTrain takes 26 minutes, station-to-station (YVR Station to Waterfront Station)

At that hour, trains run every 20 minutes:

The walk from the Waterfront Station train platform to the Pourhouse is about 6 - 7 minutes:

Another optiion. My daughter went to school in Vancouver. She took me to a karaoke bar in Richmond not far from the airport. I am not big into Karaoke, but we had a good time.

There is a Timmys at the food court in the airport . Drinks/food Jetside bar at Fairmont till 12.20 followed by coffee at Timmys and thru security at 1.00 for your 2.00 flight. Perfect.
