US/Canada pre-clearance points
Sorry if this was covered comprehensively elsewhere but searched and could not locate it, most of the posts have to do with only one select location. So my question is, in general, at WHICH USA and Canadian portals does one pre-clear customs and immigration for entrance into the other country? In my specific case it's ORD-YUL and then on the return YUL-EWR -- but maybe there is a comprehensive list somewhere of ALL locations where it happens -- maybe even make it a Sticky to reduce the need for repeated individual inquiries?

IIRC, most major Canadian airports do have US preclearance. I know for a fact that YYJ does not, but it's not exactly a major airport @:-)

...and if there is an immigration or customs issue it means I can deal with it in my country, as opposed to on foreign soil
So as a Canadian?
US pre-clearance: Excellent
Canadian pre-clearance: Nope

One should check with the CBP toll free number or the Canadian airport number to check that CBP is "open" at the time of your departure. Some late departure will not get CBP pre-clear due to the cost of staffing odd hours for a few flights.
