Sleeping at YUL

I arrive at Montreal at 1:30am and then am departing on an international flight at 6am, so not enough time to get any decent sleep at a hotel. Any suggestions on a good place is to curl up for a couple winks? I plan to hit the lounge as soon as it opens

Sadly, it looks like you're screwed.

Try to sleep on the plane and grab a coffee for a few hours?

I would still consider hotels...

The airport Mariott is the easy choice (within the terminal), but rather expensive.

Plan B would be the Sheraton Montreal Airport (ex Hilton) which is less than 2 km away, and easily accessible. It will likely be half the price of the Mariott…

Example for March 18th:

So that's why I could no longer find the Hilton...

Of course there is a Garden Inn not too far but it is even worse.

Beware the taxi fares, though. Similar short trips from YYZ to the airport hotels are very pricey.

Free shuttle between airport and Sheraton and similar hotels (Aloft, Best Western are also very close and inexpensive).

This is a really unfortunate itinerary. Realistically, if your flight arrives at 01.30am, by the time you are landside it is 01.45am. Your next flight will be boarding at 05.30am latest.

So if you walk to the Marriott immediately adjacent, you'll get 3h of shuteye max.

If you go to any off-airport hotel, even if it's just around the corner, the extra transport to/from that, whether by taxi or shuttle, will eat even more into your time.

I'd say it's either the Marriott or one of the big armchairs outside intl. arrivals.

Alternatives also include sleeping on the sidewalk like a homeless person or renting a car and sleeping in the car. Neither is comfortable.
