Sun Peaks in the winter?

Hi guys! My boss just asked me if I wanted to join her on a ski/snowboarding trip to Sun Peaks in mid-Jan (coincidentally during the Okanagan Wine Festival). I would love to snowboard for a few days, but don't think I want to be on the mountain for more than that. Is there enough to do in the area to warrant a day or 2 extra?

Any fun bars/restaurants to hang out at? The winefest seems like it would be worth checking out. Wine/grilled cheese pairing?? sign me up! http://www.sunpeaksresort.com/events...stival-of-wine

Thanks!

Closest analogy would be Keystone or Breckenridge (but without the altitude) - A nice ski village, with bars & restaurants and the like (and huge snowpack), but not a lot else around. The nearest town is Kamloops (about an hour away) and there's not a lot happening there, either

So certainly for an extra day you could find something to do, but I think 2 days would push things...
