Wait time at Passport Office (Ottawa)

How much time should I expect to be waiting for? Wondering if I need to bust my butt to the office before it opens.

YOW passports

Best office is on Prince of Wales & Meadowlands. Opens at 07:30. They now have a 2-week turnaround. Can be as little as one week.

If you can get to Costco 1st, passport photos are $7.80. SDM is $11.90.

Go to the passport office in Hull. All my colleagues in the NCR swear by it. No lineups and quickest processing.

And I will confirm that. We always get our passports done in Hull. Last time I was there was with my mom a few months ago and we were in and out in under an hour.

Got to the office in Ottawa at 7:26 am, weekday, and there were 15 people in line waiting for the place to open at 7:30. I was out shortly after 8 am.

Any advice for passport offices in other Canadian cities?

Is it always best to arrive first thing?
Is Monday crazier than other days?

old thread, new information

You have updated an old thread (2013) with a new query.

Wait times are how long you spend in the Passport office. Processing times are pretty standard.

You can inquire on the status of your application at:
