I've recently moved to Toronto and was thinking that joining some sort of a "travel group" (a group that meets to discuss and compare notes on international travel) would be a good way of meeting people (I'm only self-entertaining to a point
). I've hunted through various websites, but haven't found anything that seems very substantial.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

or you could try organizing a Flyertalk Do (meetup), it can be simple as getting together for a coffee or drink.
There is an entire Flyertalker forum devoted to Flyertalker Dos/Meetings/Seminars.

There are also quite a few Flyertalkers located in the Toronto area (or at least those that use YYZ),
