suggestions for 5 hours in yyz?
Pretty annoying evening. I just arrived in YYZ on a UA/AC codeshare from IAD.
Because my United Express flight was late I missed my connection to YUL.
There is a later flight to YUL; the desk agent says it is overbooked and can't put me on, but the person behind me in line had the exact same situation and ran off towards the gates after talking to a different agent.
Air Canada says that if I want a hotel I need to talk to United but of course there is noone from United around as it is past midnight.
And I have to be back here before 530 am for my rebooked flight to Montreal.
Anyone have suggestions on what to do for the next 5 hours? Is it worth it to go and look for a hotel?

Sorry to hear about that as well...
When I was hearing the planes last night (from Reagan), I was wondering which planes were landing, but it turns out that flights were LEAVING Reagan well past midnight (unheard of, usually)...then checking on United.com, I saw the crazy cancellations and delays going up and back to at least Chicago, so i'm guessing a bunch of flights were messed up around the board.
At least you made it up there last night, and although 5 hours in any airport isn't much fun, I'm curious what you ended up doing at YYZ. I'll be there shortly for quite a long time, and i've never spent much time in the airport before, so i'm just curious what you occupied your time with, unless it was sleeping, which is definitely understandable!
