Didn't work for me a couple of days ago when entering YYZ. Had my Global Entry Trusted Traveler card in my hand and was turned away by two different customs workers with both telling me that they only accepted Nexus.

GE doesn't get you through customs or the border. It does get you expedited security.

GE is for entering US only.

NEXUS is the joint US Canada trusted traveler program

CBSA custom and immigration officers were right denying your GE as the travel document entering Canada.
