been looking at the pearson map but not 100% sure here, want to make sure I can use the GE kiosks if i'm starting in a different Canadian city but connecting at YYZ.
Flying YXU-YYZ-IAH. I'm american and have GE. Is there the option to use GE when transiting from YXU-YYZ or is it only if you originate at YYZ (or do you have to leave the connecting area, head to the entrance, then proceed?) |
US CBP immigration for your itinerary is at YYZ. You arrive YYZ from YXU as a Canadian comestic flight. You then head to US departure where you preclear to US at the CBP checkpoint where you use the GE kiosk to enter the US departure zone for your YYZ IAH flight.
General rule of thumb is you encounter US CBP preclear at your last departing airport from Canada to US. |
Us citizen flying round trip to and back from (ORD-YYZ). At arrival in YYZ, is there a GE faster line to enter Toronto? Should I use the paper immigration form that is given in flight or is there a GE KIOSK?
Thanks |

Thanks You will need to complete the paper customs declaration form and there will be a dedicated line of kiosks for US & Canadian passport holders. After using this kiosk you will proceed to an immigration officer. |
As per eigenvector, no GE to enter Canada since GE is purely a US-program.
However, on your way back you do pre-clearance in YYZ and threre are GE kiosks to enter the US. |

First time user of GE card and flying from YYZ to US.
There is no TSA pre check airport security line it is called NEXUS there? Am I able to show my GE card with boarding pass avoid long security line? If yes, Then I am inside the airport and I go look for GE Kiosk machine to fill out the custom form or wait in immigration line? And than I go board my flight? thanks |

TSA have no jurisdiction in other countries so TSA pre will not get you priority security in Canada. There was priority for NEXUS and status passengers before the transboarder realignments but it has not been put black yet. After CATSA security check you will use your GE at the US CBP kiosk to "enter" US at preclearance. |

Which comes first the security line, or the GE pre clearance immigration? The order of security and immigration checks was explained in the fourth paragraph of my previous reply. |

Officially a GE card should get you through the CATSA Nexus security line (Now called the Trusted Traveller line).

Does anyone know when/if UK citizens may be invited to participate in a Fast Track scheme upon entering Canada?
We can apply for Global Entry into the US, and Canadian citizens are invited to apply for Fast Track through epassport gates into the UK, but I can't seem to find any information regarding UK residents going the other way! My girlfriend is Canadian and I travel every 8 weeks or so into YYZ, being able to Fast Track through would be great, though it has to be said immigration at YYZ is fairly quick and straight forward, only once have I had a wait of 20 mins - though that's now put the kiss of death on my next visit :D |
