Thumbs down YYZ T1 Priority Security

I'm commuting to Toronto each week for the next several months. I can't figure this out, and seemingly neither can they.

I am US Gold, which is Star Alliance Gold, so I am used to heading for any *A priority line. It seems at YYZ only AC Elites and Amex Platinum (I use an Amex Gold for 3x point on airfare) are allowed through this line. However, a good half of the people who check as I go through let me through if I show my US (*G) card. Others get really snippy with me, but sometimes let me through "this time." The last women sent me to the normal line, telling me, "Star Alliance doesn't pay for this priority line."

I called US Preferred and they told me that I should be able to use it. I'm also rather sure that, "Star Alliance doesn't pay for" the US/United/etc. lines at LGA but they let AC Elites through. Maybe they should be petitioned to stop doing that?

It's such a small thing, but seems really petty so it is annoying. I guess I could just start printing my boarding pass to PDF and changing US*G to AC*SE before I print it out.
