Bus tickets at YUL

The 747 express bus is a reasonable way to get from YUL into the city, except that you have to pay the $7 fare in coins. If you don't happen to have bunch of loonies and twonies in your pocket, what are your options?

A day pass is the same $7 and is valid on that bus. Does anyone at the airport sell them?

When I was there in May the $7 tix were available at the currency exchange located immediately outside International Arrivals (in other words, the one AFTER you claim your luggage and exit through the doors). Not sure if this is still the case, but if so this is another option in addition to the new machines.

The 747 bus ticket IS a 24 hour ticket. You can use it for all public transport in Montreal for 24 hours. Did that recently, but I had massive problems with the ticket at subway stations. Sometimes it was accepted, mostly it was not. I had to go to the booth, explain, sometimes they called someone - but at the end I could always ride and I did not have to pay extra. It was a hassle though.

If you don't have 7$ in coins you have to queue at the money exchange booth, they sell these tickets too. (Or maybe they have machines now, I didn't spot them on August 30).

FWIW, my experience with the $7 24-hour ticket was hassle-free. No problems at the subway turnstiles.

The two vending machines located near the doors to the exterior also accept paper Canadian currency. Hit the ATM or money exchange and slide your note into the machine and you're golden.

Cheers
