OK then, now THIS would be cool for a visiting USA'er: I'll be in Montreal 5/15-18. If the Habs are still alive in the playoffs, what's the best way to get a ticket to a game at that point? Will it be pretty much impossible?

Keep an eye on the Habs website : http://canadiens.nhl.com/index.html
When it looks like they are getting close to the appropriate round, keep an eye out for the internet on-sale date for the appropriate games. If you get lucky, have the time to dedicate to the task, and your timing is just right, you have a decent chance of getting tickets when they are released for general sale at regular prices.

Good luck!

Great tips, Dibby, thanks! As of tonight's victory over the Caps this may yet happen.

Do the teams just have to get the third round completed by a certain date, or is the game schedule already decided upon? Assuming Montreal makes it by Pittsburgh this will be relevant.

Holy crap...Habs beat Pens, make it to Round 3!

Now for the not-so-good news (for me): Tix go on sale via 'Net on Sat at 2PM, and I'll be just landing at YUL, not sure if I can get on the 'Net and try to get face-price tix at that time. Not sure I'm willing to pay after-market prices. Will have to see what happens.

In any case, the town will be hoppin' with Habs fever while I'm there visiting...pretty cool. :-)
