Red Bluff, CA ?

Hey, all. I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if any of you had advice on how to kill time in this place. Basically, car broke down on Tuesday and, after a series of lies (e.g. "yeah, tomorrow. No sweat!") from the Ford dealership, it's now clear that my gf and I will be spending the weekend here. Unfortunately, the Ford people didn't offer a loaner car (in spite of the $3k price tag for their services) so we're stuck on foot (well, the hotel people will drive us pretty much anywhere in town, but we're on our own after they drop us,... and not many taxis).

I am planning on hitting the monster truck show once (don't need 3 days of that), but the rest of the schedule is wide open.

About the only thing I ever hit there is the Walmart store for supplies. There's plenty within driving distance (Lassen Volcanic National Park, Shasta, Whiskeytown Recreation Area, and the city of Redding), but without a car you're certainly penalized.

I'm overnighting in Redding on Monday on the way to Washington. If you need to get out of there and are heading north you're certainly welcome to come along. I overnight in Oregon on Tuesday and then up to Washington on Wednesday. You can let me know as late as Monday morning.
