I used to dive here in L.A. but got tired of poor visibility most of the time.
Their is a outfit out here in San Pedro that does shark runs.
Can't say i'd be up for swimmin with the sharks.
Think i'd rather eat them instead of them eyeballing me and salivating.

Diving...

There are a number of charters that are organized from Los Angeles and San Diego, as well as Mexico. You should check postings on Scubaboard.com or call a local dive store that will definitely be able to advise you.

If you're looking for Great White cage diving, the Farallon islands off San Francisco are supposed to be one of the best spots in the northern hemisphere.

I don't understand the attraction, but to each his own. Good luck!
