Transfer between OAK and SFO

Flying into OAK is there an easy and cost effective way of getting to SFO for a continuing flight onwards?

Many thanks!

Thanks, Rudi -

How long does it typically take in your experience?

Thanks again!

There are schedules and fares at www.bart.gov

But, to give you a general idea, the AirBart bus from OAK to the Coliseum station takes about ten minutes, and then the train takes about an hour. This doesn't include waiting time.

Using the BART schedules, you will see you have to make one transfer, and use a bus shuttle at the OAK end of your trip. Not exceptionally convenient if yo have check-in luggage. N.B. The schedules vary considerably weekdays and weekends.

Once upon a time they actually had a super service - ten minutes or so - SFO Helicopter Airways! I used these a few times, what a convenience! :sigh:

Official Bay Area Transit Trip Planner

I would allow 2 hours terminal-to-terminal, and would expect to pay approx. $8-10 one-way.
