connecting in SFO

Flying in F, is 80 minutes adequate to clear customs and connect from CX to AA domestic?

You're using a US passport? Hand carry luggage? Maybe yes, then.

Even so, are you arriving in the morning from Asia? Beware of the scheduling that often dumps 3 or so 747s of travellers from Asia into immigration and customs all at once. You may want to sharpen your elbows.

A perfect scenario for INSPass, which, as far as I know, still hasn't been reinstalled at SFO.

Thanks. The CX flight is due in at 14:25 (although the same flight the day before, with the same departure time from HKG, says it gets in at 13:25...), and AA leaves at 15:45. Probably a bit too close for comfort (we will have checked bags---we're going trekking in Tasmania).
