Avis counter at LAX
Where is the avis counter at LAX located in relationship to terminal 1? Also, are the baggage claim areas for Amer West and US close? It's been awhile since I flew into LAX and I can't remember how it's set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All the car rental companies are served by shuttle buses that must be boarded under the appropriate sign in the median separating the traffic lanes on the lower level outside of baggage claim. The shuttle stops at all terminals.
America West and US Airways are both in Terminal 1 so the baggage claims are close.
