LAX traffic plan will fail?

I predict that the new traffic plan for LAX will be a big mistake.

Before 9/11 I drove into LAX more than 500 times (okay, I worked there in college - but more than 100 were for actual flights). Within the past five years I almost missed several flights because there were not enough parking spaces. I can't even imagine the crowds which will result from using the interior parking lots as drop-off and pick-up spots.

Also, since LAX is the only airport in the country operating this way, I see only two alternative theories: 1) they have a *very* credible threat that someone actually intends to car bomb LAX; or 2) they have a *very* dysfunctional management operation.
