No car rentals after 6pm in Redding?

No car rentals after 6pm in Redding?
I'm flying in to Redding on the late flight that arrives around 11:40pm. I started looking for a car rental, and found that nobody rents at the airport (or in town) past 6, at least as far as I can tell. Anyone up there know of workarounds? The lady at Hertz said they tell people to shuttle to a hotel and come back in the morning, but they open after my workday starts. And close before my workday ends.

Sometimes rental companies will meet a late flight if you make prior arrangements. I suggest giving them a call --

Also, maybe Enterprise will come to your workplace during the day and dropoff the car - or at least give you a ride to the rental company if you can take a few minutes off..
