I enjoy Las Agaves. It's got excellent shrimp tacos and a fun Mexican menu.

Thumbs-up for Olio et Limone and Jane. We enjoyed nice dinners at both places.

I just dined in the Palace Grill in Santa Barbara. The food was OK, good but not great and a bit on the pricey side. But Kathy Ireland and her husband and 3 kids were at the next table, so it gets mega bonus points for celebrity watching. And I understand she's a regular there.

Frankly, the food was better at La Super Rica, for one fifth the price.

Though definitely on the expensive side (most entrees are in the $30 range), it is well worth it, in my opinion. On a recent visit my wife and I had the 4 course tasting menu ($60) and it was one of the best meals we have had anywhere in the past 20 years.

CAUTION: There is a new restaurant located at the Mirabelle Inn but it is quite different and definitely nothing special and not recommended (at least by me).
thank you. Alas… now they’re closed. I loved your review here.

As far as I know, and I have just searched, Eater does not have an app. I do subscribe to their Los Angeles newsletter. There are also newsletters for San Francisco, Chicago and several dozen other cities.

I have just checked. Toma is on OpenTable. A few others, Loquita, Little Dom's and Bibi Ji are on Resy. Bettina is on Tock. Caruso's uses another reservation service which is directly accessed from their website.

thanks! I really appreciate this. I’m such the opentable default that I forget about the others besides Yelp. This is so great. You are such a good guy!!!

Is that Hilton used to be Fess Parkers Doubletree? We stayed at that Doubletree before, it is in a good location. We like the Ritz Carlton at Santa Barbara too, but it is kind of out of the way toward Goleta. But if you are the area of Goleta, Nikka Fish Market and Grill is really good. It is like a small fish market inside a strip mall, but their seafood is amazing and huge portion size. I never had a plate of deep fried scallops with scallops that big and that many. My wife had their ciopinno and the bowl and huge and really good.

How the Fess Parker became the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort
The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort has reopened following a complete renovation and renaming. Los Angeles-based Atwater Inc. Studio, was involved in the remodel of the property formerly known as the Fess Parker, A DoubleTree by Hilton Resort.
