Does a site like this exist?

I'm looking for a travel site that will allow me to input my current city and show me cheap flights from that city. I don't care about specific destination--I'm just looking for somewhere to go!

Does a site like this exist? Right now I am in Hong Kong but I'm backpacking and have wished for something like this many times.

It's not quite what you're looking for, but what I usually do is to pull up the local airport's Wikipedia page which almost always lists airlines and destinations to pick out likely candidates.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VHHH#Ai...d_destinations

One thing to keep in mind in HKG is that quite a bit of the LCC traffic goes through Macau instead:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macau_I...d_destinations

In Hong Kong you can often get very cheap fares to BKK on random airlines that fly XXX-BKK-HKG or XXX-HKG-BKK and discount the tag-on leg to fill seats. These include:

Royal Jordanian
Ethiopian
China Airlines (of Taiwan)
Kenya Airways
Emirates
Sri Lankan

With the exception of China Airlines these flights are not daily though, so shop around and be flexible.

itasoftware.com, skyscanner.com, timetables.oag.com - it is possible that these don't show LCCs, i just don't know, but they do what you're asking for for major airlines

I think this is close to what you are looking for. But, it is a bit US-centric. Depending on your "home" airport, it gives you more/fewer options:

These are both for United States departures I believe, so it probably would not help so much if you are traveling international.

Airfarewatchdog.com -- Simply input your departure city and you'll get a list of destinations and their fares.

BestFares.com has a feature like this, but I am not sure if you have to be a member of the site to get these fares or what. Here it is anyways: http://www.bestfares.com/SnoozeYouLose.php

airfarewatchdog.com is US-centric as well... or at least it didn't work when I tried a few international large airports.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Most of these don't really work for non-US locations very well. But I had totally forgotten about Skyscanner--I dumped them a few years ago for a reason I can't remember and didn't know they had this functionality. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm looking for a stop between HKG and Vietnam and I just found a good deal to the Philippines. Woo!

Kayak buzz is one that I've already been using. Unfortunately they don't have a lot of great fares from international locations, because they only show fares that other people have searched on.

So if they don't have a fair number of people based in a city doing searches, they don't have a lot of good results. Kayak isn't very popular outside of the US and has limited functionality for intl cities (it searches the American site prices rather than the Asia site prices of an airline which often has much higher fares) so you don't get great results in most cases unfortunately.

Try Dohop - sometimes it suggests more unusual routings
