Highest Odometer Reading on Rental
Just rented a Impala on the Big Island of Hawaii. It had 31000 miles on it and new tires!
Has anyone else rented a vehicle from Budget with more miles?

Nope, but I've gotten 29,000 miles for the two rentals I've done this month.
On the other hand, I've gotten cars from the Hertz at LAX with <15,000 miles that had broken latches, etc. So long as the car is in good condition, works well, and is clean, I'm not that bothered by how many miles it has.

No but got stuck having to use Enterprise on an insurance claim. The car was a POS Cobalt with 51k. It stunk and was stained. Good thing I only had it a day. I've had decent luck with Budget. I always try to get a Fusion.

If a car is not satisfactory I always ask to change it. Never been refused yet.

I had a 37,000 mile car last year.. it was nice agent told me it had been out on one of those corp lease things....
I have noticed many more miles than avg on islands away from the mainland... probably cost more to get new ones and such

LOL. Was the Cobalt blue by any chance? I think I may have had the same car from Enterprise a year ago after a car accident. It was the biggest POS I have ever seen and we had it for a month. It stunk like carpet cleaner and my wife wound up putting sheets on top of the seats.

No it was a black 4 door model. It was in my hometown (MOB) at the airport location. I had it because I rear-ended someone and totaled my Acura TL
Though my car was alot older, it was alot nicer obviously. I had the Cobalt literally a few hours when I found another TL exactly like my old one (different color), very low miles, mint condition! I bought the other TL that night at the dealership and left that ragged out Cobalt there until I had a chance to return it. I think I literally drove that car 10 miles. I pretty much went to the dealership right after I got the rental and bought my "new" car.
Their alternative to the Cobalt was an Aveo, LOL. I should have told the lady a bicycle would have been equivalent.
I dislike Enterprise because they rent base-model, high mileage, worn out cars. I'm all about the customer service but the Enterprise people freak me out. They shake your hand and want to be your friend every time. While I appreciate great customer service, I want to get my car and go.
Back to the topic on hand, most Budget cars I've rented had reasonable mileage on them. I think Hertz keeps the "newest" fleets but they're 3x the price.
