I Hate Budget
I rented from Budget at the Indianapolis International Airport, and I was pretty disappointed with my car rental. I got a Ford Freestyle SEL, which isn't like a Ford Explorer XLT, but they classify them both as a "standard SUV". They should have an independant class called "standard crossover". Second, I thought I was renting from Budget because thay put satellite radio in all of their cars. My '06 Chrysler Town and Country rental had SIRIUS. Well, they didn't know if my exact car had satellite radio, and it didn't! Third, I was unaware of all the hidden fees they charged me. My total was $261.00 for a weekend rental. Last, they left the keys in the car when I got in it. Some thief could steal it! The only thing I DID like about Budget is that they came outside to check my Freestyle in when I returned it.
I will NEVER rent from Budget again, and WILL rent from either Avis or Enterprise, since they give better service than Budget.

Show me a car rental company that doesn't run up the bill with hidden fees.
When I rent from Hertz or Avis the keys are always in the car when I get into it.
The phrase "or similiar" in vehicle class descriptions means you are never guaranteed a particular make of vehicle -- that's standard practice.
If you didn't like your car you could have gone back to the counter and said so, and requested one with Sirius too.

Budget does not advertise or guarantee satellite radio at all.. where did you read that they do?
What were the extra fees for? Were they not on your original reservation? If they weren't you can complain to corporate - they have a guarantee on their site that your total will be as booked.

Budget at IND is one of the few fast break locations that let you pick your car like nationals emerald isle. If you plan to rent from budget in the future you should get fast break then at least you can pick your car.
