I normally don't rent from Budget. I had a bad experience with them about 2 years ago and took my business else where. Well, I gave them another shot after seeing a good internet rate online. Reserved the vehicle (Ford Ranger) and upon my arrival waited 20 minutes while the 2 counter people assisted the 3 people in front of me. This was at OAK airport. When my turn came up, I went thru the normal procedures and then was told to wait while she heard back from dispatch. 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, I'm still waiting. Meanwhile back at the line which has now grown to well over 15 people, everyone is getting impatient. I finally ask the agent to get me another car. She then advises they found me a Ranger. I get my paper work and go to get my key at the lot. Well, it turns out to be a Mustang and my rate is twice what I booked. The whole ordeal took 45 minutes. I won't be renting from Budget again!

Just wanted to vent.

I had the same bad / sloooooow experience last week at SJC. You should consider yourself lucky that you waited ONLY 45 minutes. I was on vacation with my family and my wife's family. 7 of us so I reserved a minivan. First I had to wait 1 HOUR and 15 MINUTES in line only to find out there are no minivan left in the lot.

I will never rent from Budget again.
