PFAR class debate.

Hi all,

I've seen some inconsistencies and am a bit worried about my booking. Rented a car via a travel agent from Denver Airport with Budget. Supposed to be a full size SUV but class code is saying PFAR FULL SIZE 5+2 SEATS , SUV and now they're telling me it's a Ford Explorer 2wd or equivalent which to me is not really a full size SUV. Anyone else had any experience here with Budget in this class? Any advice?

Thanks!

The 7 passenger Explorer comes up as RFAR. Full size should be an Expedition. I'm not quite sure about PFAR - but if P is Premium than it would be an 8 passenger SUV.

Welcome to FlyerTalk!

I'm pretty sure the PFAR is a Yukon XL, which is similar to the Suburban. It has three rows of seats like the regular Yukon/Tahoe but has added luggage capacity behind the 3rd row.

Welcome to FlyerTalk. This question belongs over in the Hertz forum. Please go ahead and ask it there or I can move it over myself this afternoon.

From the Hertz fleet list in the Hertz forum:

4WD/AWD Premium Extra Capacity SUV (T6, PFAR)
Chevrolet Suburban T6 PFAR (21 mpg)
GMC Yukon XL T6 PFAR (21 mpg)
