Nothing from LAX to LAS

Hi All,

Searched on a few sites the other day and got a good rate on LAX to LAS from 25th July to 10th August and was getting an Upgrade with GOLD option.

Now it doesn't matter where I search and in fact doesn't matter what dates either Budget is showing NO availability from LAX to LAS at all!

I'm sure I saw this offered the other day, am I going mad!! or does budget not allow one ways between these two?

Budget LAX and LAS are franchises, so all bets are off.

Does budget not realise that they missed a trick here!?

Probably one of the most popular one way routes in the US, LAX > LAS and vice versa, dollar and alamo must love it!

OR, if i was the frnchisee of one or other I would be trying to buy the other out or at least coming to come agreement!

Wirelessly posted (FlyerTalk.com/wap is fun : BlackBerry8330/5.0.0.438 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/389)

Avis has decent rates with the right corp code as both are corp owned. Otoh both Budgets are frnachiseed so all bets are off.

That would infer...

there is a semblance of rationality to the car rental business (from the public's standpoint, not from the perspective of what the car rental stocks trade at on the exchanges...). Never have been able to figure out what those folks at Budget are smokin'...
