OT: FAT and SEX

I am, of course, referring to Fresno Yosemite Airport, USA (FAT) and Sembach Airport, Germany (SEX) respectively. There's more below:

Having been born about 2 miles from FAT, and because it was my home airport for my first 30 years, I have a special fondness for the "Terminal".

A number of years ago, when FAT gained international service (a nonstop to/from Guadalajara on MX), business boosters and politicians formally changed the name from "Fresno Air Terminal" to "Fresno-Yosemite International Airport" (Fresno, a city of population 500,000, is situated in Central California, sixty miles from the south entrance to Yosemite National Park).

The same booster types actually proposed changing the identifying three-letter code from FAT to FYI, but that proposal died a quick (and deserved) death.

I suppose one way to get FAT is via:

EAT (United States - Washington, Wenatchee Pangborn Field Airport)

HOT (United States - Arkansas, Hot Springs Memorial Field)

COD (United States - Wyoming, Cody Yellowstone Regional Airport)

Ha. SIN, city of? Not really, no. HEL is rather appropriate though if you've ever experienced the transfer queues there.

I'm surprised Sioux City, Iowa (SUX) didn't make the list, as much fun as it's had poked at it over the years. They've even embraced it now with sportswear:
