Forfeiting buy 1 get 1 free--taxes back?
I qualified for and used a B1G1 free coupon by flying WT+ to LHR.
Have used the coupon to go business to India, but traveling companion had to cancel.
I presume that I can still show up and fly my original itinerary, but cannot get the B1G1 coupon back.
Two questions: i) If i notify BA in advance, will I get the taxes on companions ticket back (ca. $800)? ii) If I notify BA after the fact, will I get the taxes on companions ticket back?
Notifying in advance would be a courtesy to BA, as the flight seems reasonably full; but i wouldn't complain if I have an empty seat next to me, either...
