BBC World reported that one aircraft had damage to a wing and the other lost an engine (surely shome mishtake?). Again, no report of injuries, thank goodness.

I'm trying hard to reconcile that with the statement on the BBC website that "neither plane sustained any damage". I haven't yet suceeded - please help.

As soon as you declare an evacuation, you're going to get some injuries from all the clambering and jostling. I watched some program that showed the emergency evacuation certification of a A380 or 787 or something, and there were a couple of broken ankles and lots of bruises.

And as expected Sky News website has a very informative and totally un-dramatic report for us...

"There's an awful lot of chaos and panic, and it's not clear if anybody's been injured, but people are very, very concerned," Brunt said.

"There's a lot of crying. There are about 20 fire engines at the scene."
