You clearly have been lurking a while if you've mastered that chestnut! (Had to give that advice to a colleague who's off to ORD at the w/end today!)

Welcome to FT, Kayelly!

Given that this is an accurate description of everything that Boddingtons isn't, your lunch date with him tomorrow (where's the saveloy?) obviously won't include dessert. ;)

It's a technical glitch

I always get logged in by default when I visit the forum and this did not happen this morning for the first time since I set automatic login more than a year ago. So something happened which either deleted a cookie or something else to cause this - nothing I did, that's for sure.

This is probably the reason for so many guests being logged on (probably without realising so)

Cheers!

Dear Newcomers,

For those of you who have joined our ranks - in Phils case the swelling ranks - Welcome. I lurked for a year or more in the days when this Board was very very stuffy. As you can see from the above it is a stuffy as soap opera gets. This is not to everybody's taste, but we muddle along quite well.

The above quote is from someone for whom I have the highest respect as I do for all objects venerated by some and a living tribute to the brilliance of medical research. You may wonder who or what Boddingtons is. So does he. Phil however is using innuendo which is over the heads of some and beneath notice of most polite folk. I know - and yes this is where the soap kicks in. We have a History - or to use the PC term Herstory. But I saw the error of my ways and I am here to guard all Mesdemoiselles (or in my case Madame), for remember - as Evelyn Waugh (No Phil it is not a She) said - Charm kills. I adore him as the moth adores the flame. There - said it!

Now as Him Indoors implores me to come to bed I will say this to the person who trusts nothing with a Blue Top. You are indeed wise. Most policemen wear blue tops and I should know.

So, welcome and Krug - nice one. I've upgraded your Mucci status to Plat Exec. You are now free to fly First Class for ever.

When you ask for Boddingtons, the person giving it to you must be able to give good head. :D

The Specialist Jul 5, 2007 1:36 pm

Well as a long time lurker I was extremely shy about joining up but took the plunge earlier this year. The folks on this board are great and I even managed to get a Muccihood with under 100 posts. I suppose I'd better introduce myself properly.

I've been a Frequent Flyer for the past 18 years but with a company who's choice of preferred airline changed with the seasons and I never proceeded past blue/basic or silver in any program until I changed jobs in the same company three years ago and now travel most weeks in J. I've also benefited from staff leisure travel through members of my family working in BCal, AE, IB, BA and VS until I met the current Mrs Specialist in OSL and am now the spouse of a SK Senior Service Manager (BA CSD Equivalent).
Mrs 'The S' is based out of OSL and as I'm flying most weeks and we're both too old to have kids, we don't live together save for a couple of weekends a month. A recipie for the perfect marriage - 9 years last month.

I'm trying to persuade Mrs The S to get active on the SK board as she has the same customer service attitude as the wonderful PUCCI on here.

To those lurkers who have not yet joined up, I say "come on in", we may appear to be ranting at BA at times but I like to think we all care about BA and its future.

Indeed, may I add a welcome to the newcomers to the BA board...

And a warm welcome to all the newbies from me too ^ :)
