Whats the advantage of the new club world vs the old one?
Hi,
I was wondering about the difference?? the seat pitch seems to be the same are there any major improvements? How come the old club world is already outdated, what was so wrong with it?

Personal preference influences it hugely, but for me the differences are:
Better
A much more soft, comfortable seat
Better lounging options
Good lighting
Decent storage for those in a non-UD window seat through the new drawer
No stupid drinks tray
Enhanced privacy
Worse
It's not properly flat in bed mode! (in my 4 flight experience) which is enough to make the whole thing a retrograde step for me
Tricky tray table
The hood around your head area intrudes into shoulder space (for the way I sit)
It wobbles
The footrest is easy to break
Lav's not refurbished
The stupid, stupid lampshade in Zone 2 on a 70J plane
As to the why replace, I think there are a number of theories but a combination of improved competition (VS Suite is a very good product) and a desire to reduce weight are common themes.

Well done on managing to miss all the publicity and discussion there's been on the net and this forum! Quite an achievement! I suggest a quick search on here will solicit quite a lot of information of the type you seek.
