BA back to Newquay

Looks like the new 6th rotation to Jersey has been pulled in light of the bmi announcement, so Newquay is back to plug the gap:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/e...ll/6309819.stm

Once daily form LGW with the 737 fleet.

Cant see it sticking around very long to be honest.

That's GREAT news. Thanks for the heads up. ^ ^

Try and book it, and it changes NQY to "null", and it allows you to buy a ticket to "null" for £18 + tax.

Don't start.

Am I the only one that thinks this isn't such a bad idea?

Plenty of people fly to NQY these days. And I bet people will pay more than they would for a cheapie LGW-AMS flight, which is the same distance.

Just think how much nicer the BA staff will be compared to the FR ones

It won't offer a flight on Sat 24/3. So much for a daily service.

How about a flexible Y ticket for £340. No, seriously it's £340.

See if it gets ticketed - could be a magic open ticket to anywhere in the world. - like a blank cheque

Duh! just got back from Newquay (for Padstow)...on FR ...wish this had come a bit sooner - anything would have been better. Now for a return of BA flights to TLN where I'm stuck with blooming FR - not even worth the £0.01p

Nice that a BA 737 will be flying to NQY. What a difference from the Dash8 of years ago.

Will they have time for a drinks service I wonder?

Given that a First Open Return on FGW is £327, I'd say that's fairly competitive.

Having had the Hastings "best curry house in Britain" Do last year (much enjoyed by all who attended), NQY Do anyone ?

I'm assuming that Smirnoff and Swanhunter will join and embarrass themselves by leading us around all of their old teen hang outs!
