Terminal 5
I’m looking for some info about Terminal 5.
What can we expect about BA lounges?
I have heard that BA plan to have 5 lounges. Domestic and international will be merged? Is BA plan to have a separate zone (like zone R in T1) for premium pax?
Any news?

No news, but an educated guess would suggest that a separate checkin and security facility (as at JFK, or Zone R at LHR T1) would be a certainty.
Lounges: they'll need a domestic lounge, something for Club pax, a FIRST lounge for FIRST and Gold, and presumably something like the Concorde Room for ticketed FIRSTs only. That's four. I suspect the fifth will be another Club lounge, and perhaps they'll separate short-haul from long-haul?

I understand there will be five lounges at Terminal 5.
BA has trialed a new lounge concept at BRU (see this thread).
I believe Davies & Barron/FutureBrand are involved. They've done a lot of work with BA in the past and have been mentioned as being involved in designing a new lounge as part of the CW revamp.
Hopefully, we'll get a preview of the T5 lounges later this year.

Yes, I believe so.
If memory serves, T5 opens in March 08 but the whole place has to be operationally ready 6 months before the first pax arrive. And that means they're going to be needing a lot of volunteers to pass through the airport and "try it out". Not sure if they'll be doing any actual departures from there (almost certainly no scheduled ones) before due date though.
Have you checked out the BAA T5 site? Not sure if it has anything specific on the lounges, but some quite useful stuff all the same...

The interchange plaza – a landscaped civic space between the car park and the terminal façade. A place to catch your breath before onward travel, seamlessly linking all modes of transport; rail, tube, coach, bus and car with air.
