And that, boys and girls, is the way FIRST should always be!

Title says it all. What a fantastic FIRST trip back on the 256 from DEL today to wind-up a cracker of a holiday.

My first time coming back from DEL since the kerbside premium check-in escort people have been put in place. Slid us nicely to the front of the queue for the x-ray machine although not much of a queue in any case.

At check-in it transpires the flight is wide open and we're offered seats on the upper deck..... errrr..... no thanks! 4E/F are fine.

Further escort from check-in through immigration to the lounge. Lope around for an hour.

Flight's ready for boarding and myself and the gf are beckoned over by a BA rep and escorted through security - another excellent example of sliding to the front of the queue!

Onward to the plane and, yes, more slipping to the front of the queue on the jetway!

On the plane nobody in F before us. CSD provides a personal greeting and informs us that although catered for four, it appears there's nobody else in F today. Door closes and sure enough we're the only two in F. A polite request to the purser to move to 1A/K and wahey!

Nice food and very good crew all combine with the great service at DEL and the splendid isolation of the F cabin today to outweigh the deficiencies of the champagne.

If only it could always be like this.....

Cheeky buggers! (The BA staff there that is!) Probably just wanted to close off the F cabin entirely...

The consideration just never ends - they've obviously thought through all the options - now that's service!

Or, was it just a desire to trial the new CC lounge? I'm sure they feel that would be a great use of an empty F cabin!

Well, at least they didn't persist with the efforts to switch our seats. One firm response was all that was required. Besides, I'm not dwelling over that one minor slip from the ground staff given the otherwise exceptional service!

They have the kerbside 'meet and greet' at BOM as well. Very slick indeed.
