Unhappy Concorde looking so lonely (w/ photo) !

All by herself at Heathrow

At least she's not in Barbados!

I don't see why some sheik or Donald Trump doesn't buy her and let her fly!

I heard Richard Branson offered to. However, I would be disappointed if I only got the upper class cabin and Virgin Atlantic flight attendants for three hours

At last we agree on something! She looks as if some scally has nicked her wheels.

Roll on the day when she's in T5.

Oh, and she can't fly anymore, the air-intake computers, still a UK state secret despite their 1969 vintage, have been removed.

A sad sight indeed

I always have a little peer out of the window when taxiing to the north runway, great views from the upper deck ^ Not a great fan of the aluminium foil effect in the windshield but its protecting the cockpit, alas I doubt the cabin interior needs any protection...

That's beyond belief! Can anybody understand why you'd scrawl graffiti over concorde? (on any other AF plane is understandable in my book - I find the airline grim to say the least!)

The interior of the LHR Concorde does need some protection from the army of rats that now reside within her fuselage......

Why are they letting such glamorous aircraft fall to rack and ruin. Very sad indeed.

Why don't they barge her to the Mohave desert? Isn't that where the U.S. airlines store their unused planes? She wouldn't deteriorate as much there and could be quite a tourist attraction.

That'd be some operation! By the time it gets there it'd be time to send it back to LHR to stand in front of T5!

Are there really rats in the Concorde at Heathrow. Is that the one they'll use to stand in front of T5?

If they let people onto the plane and sit, touch etc then that's great news.

The Seattle Concorde (G-BOAG) has been ruined somewhat: the tour starts by entering the middle door (in front of the wing) and walking along only the first half of the cabin, the rear is blocked off behind thick plexiglass... as are all of the seats (two large plexiglass tubes run down either side encasing all of the seating area, so there's only a narrow channel to walk down the middle of the aisle - not like it was all that wide in the first place). The cockpit is also off limits and encased within plastic.

cheers
Ewan
