At T5, UK Domestic Arrivals connecting to another flight from T5. If you change terminal, you will need to clear security in the new terminal as the bus transfer will have passengers who are connecting from an international flight.

Domestic to T5 onward doesn't.
I think thats about it. One of the annoying things coming back in LHR from Schegen to domestic is the need for security, something you don't need at AMS on same routing for example. Think it's down to LHR layout more than anything.

In addition, Republic of Ireland is not considered trusted for the purposes of security so again, its by design that these passengers go though security as there would be an easy cut through to get to the clean departures area from A23 if this was permitted.

Also, for a few codeshares, there are some domestic connections in LHR T2, but none are BA prime flights. You can connect there without a security check to another T2 departure.

basically the UK only trusts security strictly for those who have cleared at a previous UK airport. jersey is definitely not in the UK, but like Ireland is part of the common travel area, so no immigration at least.

some years ago when arriving at T5 from ABZ for a LHR-HEL connection from T3 I had a transfer in a minibus which took me to T3 depatures without security. I think this was called "premium transfer", but only for a select few.
