If the new OW lounge is at the location of the old BA lounge (I assume the same size), will it be big enough for all the OW carriers that use AMS?

It's in the BA space, but they stole some of Aspire too so it's a bit bigger.

Great report.

Must admit I'm not that keen on the design.

It looks a massive step forward from what we've had at least since the BA lounge closed - and possibly including that. I do like the overall visual effect, but the chairs appear to have been made to look nice rather than to be comfortable - I can't imagine having everyone lounging around without arm rests between potentially long flights is going to be very comfortable.

Good to see this concept in Europe. Fingers crossed for something equally good at CDG (once 2AC finishes its refurb) if CX don't re-open. ZRH would be a good candidate too.

Curious, when pax is going to fly an airline (to that airline's hub), do they want a taste of home/pre-taste of destination at the lounge, when on board catering would already have local flavoured options?
Personally I would want NL specific foods, or even better a rotating "OneWorld" menu of dishes from OneWorld airline country/regions.

Seems relatively quiet in here at 1830, even if I did have brain fade and completely forget where it was.

Dinner is tagliatelle with a selection of sauces:

I’m not massively keen on the design - slightly too “avant-garde” for me. A bit too much form over function.

Flight information displays not currently working it seems.

Overall it’s nicer than the old lounge, and a perfectly pleasant place to spend a few minutes out of the inevitable bustle of Schiphol.

Thank you so much OP for the review! Over there in a fortnight so I’m really looking forward to having a look around. I can see there’s no lamenting the loss of Café Flor et al!

Actually looked up the interior designer: it is the same firm as the one that redid the Privium lounge in 2021 and definitely has some common elements. With regards to the beer situation, unfortunately only Heineken which dominates the entire airport as part of the HMShost contract.

Wow! Now if only the T5 lounges could be refitted to such a high standard.

At least the ICN OW lounge has a Korean dish - bulgogi apparently

For dinner instead of the (cream) 'carbonara' it could be Dutch cheeses...

Not the seating, please. While the AMS lounge looks impressive the seats themselves - the most fundamental part of a lounge - look pretty crap for lumbar support and general comfort.

Not having proper desks and chairs in the work area seems a miss too.

Perfect timing! I’ll be AMS and in the lounge in 6 days. Great review btw. Cheers!
