Need a year-end TP run (ex-LON) to make / retain status?
Some tips for searching for the year-end TP run for newcomers, the below is indicative only, but hopefully provides a bit of guidance for relatively straightforward runs ex-LON. Some information on how to use ITA matrix is in post XX of this thread (or just click here) along with these ideas, might come in handy. Feel free to share results, problems or general questions in the thread as these may not always work and there might be better deals out there...
For overnight trips remember to check BA and Iberia for their flights and hotel option as well, can get hotel for almost no extra cost at times
Need 80 TPs or fewer
Club Europe return somewhere close by is best - DUB, AMS and JER usually cheapest along with UK domestic returns. Additionally you may find that trips in to mainland Europe require a one night stay whereas the cheapest domestic CE returns do not have any minimum stay so can be booked as a same day return. If doing a back to back AMS and JER can be easier than DUB for an immediate turnaround - more information can be found in the back to back thread listed in the forum dashboard. The BA.com low fare finder can be very useful.
If you need as few as 45 TPs you might consider booking economy flights and hoping for a proactive online upgrade offer - but they're not guaranteed to materialise (so not one if you have no more time left in your TP collection year). Alternatively, booking a return to one of the 40 tier point destinations with one way in CE and the return in ET (or vice versa if cheaper). UK domestic route, Bilbao, Jersey and Amsterdam seem the most cost effective for this.
Need 85-120 TPs
Iberia flights via MAD to regional Spanish airports will get you 120 TPs as the domestic Spanish flights are 20 TPs in business. Under £300 including hotel can be available. Check BIO, GRX, VLC, BCN, SVQ etc. Example here
Need 125-160 TPs
Take a look at the shorthaul plus routes earning 80 TPs each way in business listed in the post XXX of this thread (here), MLA, IST, HEL and RAK are usually available. If time sensitive take a look at BA flight and hotel option to HEL, where you can usually get the last BA flight out on a Saturday, airport hotel and first return Sunday for well under £500.
Alternative options include positioning to JER and flying JER-LGW-XXX (AMS usually works well and avoids switching airports).
Need more than 160 TPs
You'll most likely be heading north then - OSL or VNO via HEL will get you 240 TPs, as will JER-LGW/LHR-HEL e.g. LHR-HEL-OSL for £520.
DUB-LHR-HEL return (or return to LHR) is currently a very efficient way of hitting 200-240 TPs

Not sure anyone replied to you but have you considered looking at flights to the Canary Islands via mainland Spain eg LHR-MAD then MAD-TFS then TFS-LHR? They can be flown on either IB or BA metal. If IB you have the choice of IB flight and IB metal or IB operated but with BA flight numbers.
Alternatively fly to Palma Mallorca via MAD but not sure if that's doable starting at LHR, you might have to hotfoot it over to LGW

Canaries or even Spain would be difficult in terms of length of flight. Ideally you would find a cheap return to somewhere like Manchester or Newcastle. Given a date it'll be easier to have a look. Jersey is also good and a relatively foolproof B2B. You may be able to offset costs using the BA best price guarantee also.
Makes for a much nicer trip home being able to use the First Class Check in and Galleries F at T5 and we'll have 2 full days in London to enjoy.. been too long since I've been there,
Thanks y'all for the suggestions!

Sometime back, maybe 2019, there was a very popular TP run, LHR-HEL-TLL (Tallinn) return. It yielded £200 TP, the HEL-TLL is small regional flight with economy only, hence 20TP, and was widely available for £232 I believe. That number stuck in my head. Tallinn is a nice weekend destination, and timing it right, from memory an early start on the return, you could get the Finnair A350 service to London, so a wide body experience for the longer flight. Finn also left from T3 which meant the (generally regarded as superior) lounge selection there on the outbound. It was pretty much the perfect Euro TP run. Those were the days….
Did the outbound on the A350 and inbound on the later A320 but worth it since otherwise it is a ridiculously early start in Tallinn.
Long gone though- sigh!!!

A couple of months go you could slap AGP-HEL-LHR on the front on a lengthy US TP run and get a good haul (>1000 TPs) at a reasonable, though not spectacular, rate. (Useful if you wanted, say 5000 TPs and didn't fancy making 10 trips to CGK). I got two of those booked for this before it vanished like a TP run vampire exposed to the full glare of the corporate dawn.

i agree that it was a perfect weekend holiday break/TP run - an interesting destination with fascinating history, very affordable, small enough to see a lot in a few days (and also good as a jumping off point for Latvia and Lithuania), lots of connections including the A350 on convenient times, and an incredibly low fare for the TPs.

I don’t mean to alarm you, but time has done weird things in recent years - it’s a bit further back than 2019! I don’t recall precisely when the fare was pulled, but my three trips to Tallin were in January, March, and June 2017. So I think it was available from sometime in late 2016 - I booked in early December having read Trip Reports here in the preceding month or three.

Do you have access to that? I've tried several times building a route that starts with that and ends in BOG but without success, and assumed that was due to an mpm breach. I'd love to be able to score 1000 TPs on an EU-BOG trip, but the best I've been able to do, on a single ticket, has been 760 TPs, and always at a cost of over GBP 2/TP.

Quite possibly. I never dug deep enough to uncover the reason. iirc the price went up by 50% at some point.

Well the only fare filed from AGP to BOG is on Iberia and has minimal routing options for a mileage run (AA will have better routings allowed and MPM but much higher fare bases).V FARE BASIS BK FARE TRAVEL-TICKET AP MINMAX RTG

This is the AGP-...-MEX route that builds ok. 6000 miles direct v 9000 my routing:
And this is AGP-...-BOG:
Direct: 5000
Best I've found: 8000
Via HEL: 10 000
I guess that doubling the direct route's mileage is what's breaking the MPM?

They were there a week ago but I wasn't ready to book annoyingly.
DUB-LHR-XXX-CLT-YYY would be my guess here. XXX being East Coast entry, JFK, BOS or my guess for the cheapest would be PHL, then CLT as a hub and YYY being destination. You could try MIA, TPA, MCO, and some smaller ones like JAX, PBI, RSW if you’re not fussy about where in Florida. This should yield 520TP, from some very limited searches I can’t see anything sub £1500, so not great TP run value.
Anything over 400tp would be fine for this trip.

Good point. That takes us currently to the end of September but I am looking to of middle of October so I am hoping in the next week or two the usual £1200 fares pop up.
They were there a week ago but I wasn't ready to book annoyingly.
Thanks for your suggestion. It's a shame the lower fares aren't around at the minute. I hope they pop up again.

You might have to try some creative routings. Theoretically you can do e.g. DUB-LHR-AMS-PHL-XXX [where AMS can be replaced with CDG, FRA etc] but I've found AA fairly stingy on releasing inventory for the TATL leg on those so IME the BA secondary city routes suggested above are more likely to yield results.
