Christmas music in lounges

When is too early?
Currently in T3 Galleries First and they're playing Christmas Music (admittedly at low volume), but is November too early?
Thoughts welcome...

Xmas music is on in T5 Flounge too.

I like it, nice and mellow and a long way from high street Xmas no1 heavy mind crunching playlists

Well in the Christian tradition, the Christmas season is preceded by Advent, which begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas, which this year is 3rd December. So we do not put up our tree and decorations before then. Though we start playing Christmas music before then.

But down the road from us some of the neighbours have already started their ‘who can put up the glitziest display of lights’ competition. Supposedly a ‘friendly’ competition…but another neighbour has told me it gets quite heated!

US Thanksgiving is over; Christmas is now in full swing here - maybe they are following that?

It must drive the staff absolutely crazy.

And yes, it's too early. There ought to be a law that no Christmas stuff until 1 December.

Decorations are up all over London including Heathrow. It seems the music is inline with that. It is never too early for a little Christmas spirit.

Too early. Couple of weeks before is OK. Who's travelling for Christmas in November?

Magic Radio goes 100% Christmas songs from Monday, 27th November. I love it. 11 other months for all the other songs.

Yes, I used to work in a restaurant and the Christmas music drove me nuts. The problem is that for customers they only hear it for the couple of hours they're there so that's fine. For the staff, the same playlist is on loop all day every day. Painful.

As we all know, Jesus wasn't even born on Dec 25 so November is perfectly acceptable for a little Christmas spirit. And it's snowing already in NY.
