75 Tier Points needed
An unexpected work trip last week has taken me close to gold. Year ends 8 Oct. I can fly this Wednesday afternoon from 4ish but preferably Thursday morning but must be back Friday afternoon by 4 - don’t want to go mad on spending say £300ish and don’t mind a night or 2 away as have many hotel points. Live near LCY but they tend to be pricy flights. Was trying to price up a multi leg domestic but no joy. I might be able to do the following week Wed-Fri too but not sure and I know this week is reasonably free (time off in lieu !)

Hi,
Best way would be a Club Europe return either domestically or to europe ( 40 tier points each way for 80 in total) . Not sure about the cost if not staying over a weekend
Regards

Sorry to tell you this but if £300 is going mad, you’re not going to get 75 tier points on such short notice
A little over £300 will get you a business class bounce LHR to MAN or another regional airport. That will get you 80 TP but is going to cost you £300-400

I’m in a very similar position with the same 8th October deadline.
flying this Friday GLA-LCY, returning Saturday LGW-GLA for about £200 in CE. Though booked a few weeks ago. Certainly a few weeks ago, off-peak LCY services and LGW were more competitively priced than LHR services.
good luck!

I’m on the same 8th October deadline. Booked a random return this evening from Heathrow to Gothenburg (out this Thursday and back Monday) and using my Virgin Miles to pay for the hotel. Return was about £265. Probably doesn’t help but got me out of a jam

I've just looked at a LHR-MAN on Thursday October 6th. In CE that can be done for £263.05. Using Avios the price can be reduced by up to £180.
Those prices are for the least expensive flights of the day (first north, last south), but same day change to more convenient but nominally more expensive times is potentially possible.

Well by way of update have found BA flights to AMS out next Thursday 6th from LHR at 1430hrs and back on Friday late afternoon to LCY for £259 which gets me my 80 tier points and a very nice day out to boot. Thanks for all those who chipped in.
