the capitalisation of the “NOW” does make me take it more seriously than I otherwise would.
I just don't know why BA should brand the underside of their aircraft with NOW.

Easy with a telescopic array set up in the back garden! And FR app to confirm.

No need. Everyone's heard of British Airways.

G-EUPJ did in fact have red wings (underside) as I recall.

Yes, they could not paint the red on the upper surface due to some guidance from Airbus about it, otherwise they would have.

Spent the day at Hobbledown Heath in Hounslow a couple of weeks back and was surprised by how many airlines now have their names on the aircraft belly. Whilst the benefit here in the UK would be minimal, I could see it being good advertising approaching destination airports around the globe.

That's what I thought as well. Hasn't BA better ways to waste money? They could improve what is offered aboard, take a few seats out for those condemned by their hand or the Bank Manager's to perpetuity behind the curtain between Club and The Back poor Darlings.

Instead we are to paint the bottoms of aircraft with British Airways. No doubt as we swoop low over this world on our way in or out heedless of nuisance people will gaze into the sky and dream of flying British Airways. If that isn't the greatest DYKWIA in the airline world since "I'm Pucci. Fly Me" then I do not know what is. Did one extra bottom end up on a single seat at National Airlines as result of that campaign?. Actually that's a great idea now I think of it. We could put a name on the bottom of the aircraft like " Danni" "Vickee" "Sammee" "Chardonnayyyy" " Trixee" and Bubbles.

Now that would get noticed and talked about.
Can I help you and davidcamp6 like this.

No, stay classy BA. Dont do it.

You are either first to do it (and likely seen as cool) or you are a copy cat and cliche

I remember a specific England v Ireland game at Twickenham as a child, at one point an EI flight went over to massive cheers from the green end, the shamrock on the belly paid off that day!

I'm more of a big picture person, I don't have any idea what it's achieving apart from advertising near airports ;-)

I'm all for a bit of creativity on the belly, i'd go one step forward and paint the rest almost entirely white. I understand white paint on the top is more efficient (thermodynamics) so maybe they'd save a buck or two in the long run. Having said that, they're pretty white on top already lol.
