Time for tea ( tea not included)

Looks like the afternoon tea product is back with a different name but pretty much the same items plus a chocolate fudge. Described as “true British classic” Enjoy 😉

Unhappy

Hmmm…. if the photograph is an accurate depiction, that does not look like much more than one mouthful!

That looks bad. Why pair a sweet thing (scone & jam) with a sweet thing? £6 for something which is dry and needs a drink in addition to go with the few mouthfuls of sugar.

And what looks like loads of waste: box, wooden (I assume) cutlery, and the two glass jars.

I guess I'm not the target market

I'd happily pay £6 for it if it came with a tea.

Do not get this. I tried to make myself a poor man's business class a while back. I had seat 10A on the A321 (no 9A so unlimited legroom) and ordered this. Scone was on the dry side, and the plastic knife didn't really cut so it just ended up mashing the thing into crumbs, most of which fell on the floor, on me or down the seat. What I was able to salvage didn't taste too bad. But it's just not an appropriate thing to have especially with the tiny box and no tray to catch the crumbs.

I’m sorry but I don’t get your post. Did the scone taste good or bad? Are you advertising for BA? I thought you did not like BA?

Not sure if that photo makes the food option look appetizing. Think the box ruins it

12 minutes into
:

“Firstly, it’s inept organization. Secondly, it’s extraordinarily inhospitable. Thirdly, we understand why you’ve done it: because you want to sell your cold drinks. But the whole thing is a debacle! … I’m sure it works for you, because you want to sell your beastly drinks. But if you’re serving tea, you should be serving tea!”

The caption sort of implies that you do get tea with the box......but that would be too cheap then. So this remains a teal-less afternoon tea . Dear me. They should include the tea, make the price £7, thereby effectively discounting the price of the tea.

I'm confused by yyour confusion. I said it tasted "not too bad". I am not advertising for BA; I specifically said not to get this product. I like BA so much that I fly with them all the time.

Indeed! Prison stripes described as "playfully decorated".

The unpaid intern that wrote that blurb certainly earned their pay that day!

BA just won't learn. https://www.independent.co.uk/travel...-a8914691.html

What does it cost to brew a pot of tea? If someone buys one of these "teas" just give them the tea for free.

It’s hard to suppress a wry smile at the ever-so- helpful suggestion provided by BA within their wordy description :

Pair it with a hot cup of Twinings or
a bottle of prosecco for an authentic cream tea experience.”

………. an experience so authentic that we thought it best not to actually include tea as part of our ‘Time for Tea’ offering.
