My flight in 2 days is already ‘delayed’ (BA352)

My Monday 19:50 flight to Nice from LHR is already showing delayed on the app.

Flight Radar doesn’t have an aircraft showing yet (althought that’s not BA’s site so doesn’t really matter).

Is that BA managing my expectations (maybe because of Weather?) or just an issue with the App (also plausible) 😅

The App is correct as of now, but it won't be as of 2 days from now. It's tracking a particular aircraft, looking at the delay today and inputing that into your service in 2 days time. 25% of aircraft will get swapped in that period, I suspect yours will be one of them, new aircraft = new timing = possibly problem solved. Quite normal and nothing to be worried about, those who do fret about these things would be best to steer clear of Flight Status until the day of departure.

Here are some of the previous threads on this topic:
Flight delayed- aircraft late arrival 3 days in advance

Flight delayed - 48 hours notice

BA allocates aircraft to flights approximately 3-4 days in advance.

This flight is currently planned to be operated by A321 G-EUXC.

UXC is, however, currently tech in MUC. Hence the delay showing to your NCE (and also the 707/8 ZRH tomorrow).

The aircraft will either be fixed and the flight revert to being on time, or there will be an aircraft change.
