BA 294 ORD LHR Cancelled for a week?????

We were scheduled to take BA 294 from ORD to LHR mid-month, but we noticed that the flight has been cancelled for almost a week and it appears to be cancelled until next Sunday. Can anyone explain why? Also, while the flight in 1 week is not cancelled, is it common to cancel flights on a weekly basis before that?
Thanks
Jon

There are not cancelled just not scheduled due to the off peak period, nothing to worry about.

Thank you for your quick response however, I'm a bit confused.... then why would their ba.com site show today's flight as Cancelled? (See image below)

If you have a look at FlightRadar24 you will see the BA294 is not scheduled to operate on quite a number of days. see here: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ba294

It may have been in the timetable at some point, but I would suggest it was removed some time ago - 6 months ago perhaps, at a guess. This isn't unusual or new for February.

That would be pretty odd. I've been flying this route for years and I've never seen BA cut the services to ORD down to one daily flight outside of Christmas day and the like.. Maybe someone with a paid subs to flightaware or flightradar24 can have a look at the flight histories for BA294/295 and BA296/297 and verify this?

The reduction in schedule in occurred in December. Besides ORD, BA also eliminated some flights to JFK and SFO, during January and February; basically some routes with multiple flights/day. Here is one of the threads from that time:
LHR - JFK cancellations in Jan 2023

Edited to add:
These tactical cancellations have also occurred through the Thanksgiving period and during the January-February slow period even prior to covid. See, for example:
BA 297 LHR-ORD cancelled all this week?

According to EF, BA294 is not operating on just two days... 2/9 and 2/11.
The flight is mix of 777 and 351 until the A380 returns on 2/22.

if they have been ‘removed from the originally published schedule’ within 90 days of the planned date of departure, BA.com will pick them up as ‘cancelled’.
