BA retired B747 G-BYGA : The Upper Deck Experience

Flew CW , LAX-LHR on this frame , but was in lower cabin. Day off work today thought I’d have a afternoon here

Very nice! It looks like it's worth a visit.

Edit: by the way, it might be worth adding 'Upper Deck Experience' to the thread title, maybe.

may I also add, 64 A and K didn’t make the cut

Id of really likes to of done the flight sim experience , but they make me dizzy as we use them at my work for train driver training

How random - I saw this in a newspaper story the other day advertising the experience, and today (after much digging and help from LCY8737 ) that this was also the first aircraft I flew business class on to New York in 2018!

Parts value in B747s still flying I guess - mainly the freighters.

Shame about 64 A and K Otherwise, this all really brings back the memories (though I don't recall all that tinsel!).

G-BYGA AKA The Deck…

Wasting time on TikTok this evening (I know, I know…) I found this:

Seems the company purchased ano cut off the top deck of G-BYGA and have turned it into a 747 experience, up in Manchester. They also have a flight simulator which, although nothing like the old ones over in Hatton Cross, might still appeal to some people.
