At first glance there are some juicy little cheap breaks

Long weekend in Lanzarote
£40 return, HBO in economy

Think I'll be looking at this a bit deeper over the next few days 🤔

I’m curious as to why BA is doing this. I thought flights were already rammed full?

There seems to be very little in the way of flights yet available for purchase post 25th March summer timetable change for LGW Short Haul .. So I don't think the offer is that useful for its final month .. but probably some good off season deals otherwise

Use 5000 airmiles and the flights earn almost that back

Don't think they have thought this through

Not had a proper look yet or tried booking but are there blackout dates eg school holidays? That would be the only use of it for me - looking at flights 21/22 December and returns just after NYE but sort of assuming that won’t be eligible

shame the max saving is only £100 PP!

actually £100 PP, or per booking?

and Will it work on a flights & hotel booking?

Seems to be per passenger .. you can save more with more pax on the booking

I don't think so ( as BA Holidays has a different payment process and doesn't normally allow any part payment options I don't think )

They do this promo regularly.

And it is very well thought through to only allow it on Gatwick bookings over the winter. And FWIW to not allow people to combine vouchers with part paying with Avios.

I think it's a smart move - not perhaps for all those around here, but the occasional Blue traveller with a few thousand Avios and no idea how to use them wisely - I bet this would get them looking and booking if the dates work!

I used this offer a few years ago for a short break to Beirut. Good trip, both for value and place.
