BA287 (LHR to SFO) 6 Aug

The BA website is showing this flight as being three hours late. It seems it’s being operated by XLEG which is currently on its way back from DFW on time. Is there any way I can find the cause of the delay, and also the likelihood of the time coming forward or going backwards?
thanks
Mark

No reason in EF, but I'd expect it to be crew related.

You'll need to be at the airport per originally scheduled departure unless BA informs you otherwise.

A delay of one to three hours seems to be quite common for this flight through out the month of June and July. August 4th departed at 5:18pm and was delayed for ZO + ZY.

Thanks for the quick replies - seems I’m going to have a good few hours at LHR today given that I need to be there for a 2pm departure… at least I get to use the CCR

Yesterday's BA287 appeared odd - operated by a 777 rather than the usual 380. Could be short of 380s?

Yes, noticed yesterday’s change of aircraft.

I now have an email from BA saying it’s late and that checkin will close at 4pm so guess I don’t need to be there quite so early…

Might be it.

G-XLEC and G-XLEE are not in daily rotation.
G-XLEH is in Manila. Likely for mx.
